Alfred Tokley attested in December 1915 when he was manager of the Temperance Hotel. He was married to Edith and had two children Elsie and Lily. He trained as a signaller and served in France from 28.3.1917 until his death.
In 2022 AC sent this note:
My grandmother Edith White ran a hotel in Hills Road, Cambridge and was married to Alfred Charles Tokley, who was taken in the First World War and buried in France. She had two children Elsie and Lilian (Lily). Edith White went on to have a further 5 children with Frederick Collins Pimlott (my grandfather). Frederick Collins Pimlott was a commercial traveller for the Dunlop Rubber Company. It is believed he stayed at the Norfolk Temperance Hotel where he met Edith Tokley (nee White).
