Bombs on Great Eastern Street

friday 29 august 1941

During the night of 29 August 1941, German bombers dropped ten high explosive bombs, which destroyed two houses in Great Eastern Street.  Two people were killed and seven people were injured.

Jack Overhill notes this in his diary entry of 29th August.
