St Margaret’s Square

History of St Margaret's Square

St Margaret’s Square was mainly built around 1926 on the site of an orchard. However, there is a cottage at the end of the cul-de-sac which may be older.

It was the home of Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd fame. In 2007 the Guardian published a short article about Syd and his connection to St Margaret’s Square, also the home of his mother.
