Honey Farm, Chatteris OS 1885
The name Hunny derives from Saint Huna who was chaplain to Sy Etheldreda of Ely. On St Etheldreda’s death it is said that Huna became a recluse on the gravel ridge at Chatteris. It is said that the remains of a chapel with bones believed to be those of St Huna was found at Hunny Farm. The bones were probably kept at the nunnery in Chatteris but were then taken, possibly illegally, to Thorney.
